I primarily work with adults and children who are facing any of the following challenges: life transitions; trauma; anxiety/phobias; and/or grief/loss. I also work with adults who may feel stuck or empty despite the attaintment of goals or success in their life. I approach my work with clients with empathy, compassion, and non-judgment in a process that promotes healing, growth, and wholeness.
My therapeutic orientation is integrative which means I draw from more than one psychological theory and technique. My approach is informed by Existential, Psychodynamic, and Jungian psychology. In addition to traditional talk therapy, I offer a number of experientail methods including EMDR, dreamwork, expressive arts, sandplay, and play therapy. However, the specific techniques used in therapy will be tailored to meet you where you are now and to support you in getting to where you want to be.
The most important component to successful therapy is a good therapeutic relationship. It is important that you feel a sense of connectedness, empathy, safety, honesty and unconditional positive regard from your therapist. I provide a free initial consultation. This provides us the opportunity to talk about your therapeutic goals, needs, expectations and to determine if I am a good fit for you as a therapist.
